Rumors are running rampant that Barron Trump, the youngest child of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, has a girlfriend.
The Daily Mail reports that Barron Trump “is said to be spending lots of time with his new love interest.”
This comes as the first son just finished his freshman year at New York University, where he is studying at the Stern School of Business.
For its report, the Daily Mail cites “an insider close to Barron.” The insider, of course, is anonymous, so we do have to take the report with a grain of salt. Neither Barron Trump nor any of the other Trumps have commented on the situation.
The claims:
According to the Daily Mail, if Barron Trump does have a girlfriend, this is his first.
The outlet reports:
Barron Trump is rumored to have found himself a “really nice girlfriend.” The youngest son of Donald Trump and Melania Trump, 19, who recently completed his freshman year at New York University, is said to be spending lots of time with his new love interest. At the time of writing, however, there have been no whisperings about the identity of Barron’s mystery woman.
Some are wondering how dating for Barron Trump would work out, considering the fact that he has round-the-clock Secret Service protection.
The outlet continues:
Additional insiders added that despite being under the watchful eyes of the Secret Service, Barron has been able to date freely. “He can have a girlfriend as the Secret Service guys are well-versed on how to handle this,” a political source added to People. “Anyone who says being under Secret Service protection would keep him from dating is way off.”
That, apparently, settles that.
Previous reports
Previously, it was President Trump himself who gave the world an update about his youngest son’s love life.
At the time, which was October 2024 — just before he would go on to win the 2024 presidential contest — the elder Trump said that, to the best of his knowledge, Barron had not had a girlfriend.
The New York Post, at the time, reported, “Former President Donald Trump revealed Thursday that he doesn’t believe his youngest son, Barron, has ‘had a girlfriend yet.'”
The outlet continued:
“I’m not sure he’s there yet,” the former president said of Barron, when asked by businessman and podcast host Patrick Bet-David if the New York University freshman is “good with the ladies in school.” “I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet,” Trump, 78, added.
If the Daily Mail‘s reporting is true, then Barron is “there.”
