While no country is perfect, there’s a reason it’s nearly impossible to “stand against America.” And while woke author Elie Mystal thinks the U.S. deserves a stern finger-pointing from many of the countries that rely on it for foreign aid—including military assistance—someone should probably let him know why that’s never going to happen.
Tell me you hate America without saying it. Elie Mystal: Say less.
LOL. Not only does this man refuse to leave the country he claims to hate, but he also proves time and again just how ignorant and arrogant he is.
First off, if America isn’t the best country in the world, then which one is? That’s a question he’s never been able to answer—because frankly, there isn’t one. There’s a reason everyone and their grandmothers come here, and there’s a reason the left fights to ensure no human is considered illegal. It’s not about America being the “bad guy,” but about recognizing its greatness.
It may come as a surprise to Mystal, but the U.S. remains the largest player in global foreign aid. In recent years, the government has shelled out around $72 billion to support countries around the world, which is more than any other nation by a considerable margin. A huge chunk of that goes to global health efforts, like fighting HIV/AIDS and malaria, with over $12 billion spent in just one year. In straight-up dollars, no other country comes close in aid. Whether it’s disaster relief, development programs, or emergency health responses, the U.S. is still a major force in the global aid game.
If the countries receiving this cash want to “stand up” against America, that’s their prerogative—but they shouldn’t expect any more funding for problems that aren’t ours. Is that what Mystal would prefer?
I think there’s a saying: “America is so great that even those who despise it refuse to leave.” And while Mystal pretends to hate America, he still won’t leave. That says all you need to know—and why you shouldn’t trust a dang thing he says. Well, that—and the fact that he’s just a naive buffoon.
That being said, if America is so awful, why is it so great? That’s a question Mystal can never answer, but he won’t stop pretending he knows a thing or two about a thing or two. And that just makes him even more pathetic.
