Hakeem Jeffries – Fighting Battles On Behalf Of The American People #OBBB

Today, the most beautiful words in the English language are, “Mr. Speaker, I yield back”. After breaking the record set by Kevin McCarthy, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said those words and lovers of context and our language sighed wistfully. By the I finish writing this, the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) will have passed and be ready for President Donald J. Trump to sign on the Fourth of July or Independence Day aka the Original No Kings Day. Dear Hakeem, we haven’t bent the knee in 249 years and counting.

The Representative spoke during the Magic Minute:

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a marathon “magic minute” speech early Thursday to protest the “limited” debate rules set for President Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.

With a vote that had been expected around 5:30 a.m. ET, the New York Democrat leaned into the dramatic pause, dragging proceedings into daylight as he read aloud a series of letters from Americans he said would be directly harmed by the bill’s deep cuts.

Speaking from the House floor, Jeffries said: “It had been my hope, Mr. Speaker, that we would be able to have a passionate debate of passionate support and passionate opposition and connection with this bill, that hundreds of members of both sides of this aisle had participated in.”

I didn’t catch a lot of Hakeem Jeffries speech, I had a lot to do today and I am not a masochist.He read letters from those who would ((allegedly)) be harmed by the OBBB. I got home for lunch at 12:20 and listened to the last hour and 17 minutes of Jeffries speech. The speech was held in a thick three ring binder. In that last hour, the Minority Leader spoke on the Bible, the Declaration of Independence and the Founding Fathers and Civil Rights Leaders of the past. Great Big Red Flags there.

As a Southern Baptist girl, it makes me nervous when twats people start quoting the Bible at me to lecture and chastise me. Everybody knows that the Devel can quote Scripture with the best. Hakeem quoted Matthew 25 31-45:

My Lord and Savior meant for each of us to take care of those with whom we came in contact. Jesus did not have great trust in government programs. Then, as now, they are full of waste, fraud and abuse.

Jeffries also quoted John 10:10:

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;

He only quoted that part of the sentence, the filthy sophist; he left out

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

But, the female Black Representatives in his Amen corner were pleased and urging him on.

Then, He quoted the Declaration of Independence, the Founding Fathers and James Madison. From the Huffington Post:

Toward the end of his speech, Jeffries praised the Founding Fathers for creating midterm elections, dubbing the Democrats’ chance to take back the House “Project 2026,” a play on the Republicans’ Project 2025.

He concluded with quotes from the late civil rights icons Rep. John Lewis and Dr. Martin Luther King.

Hakeem Jeffries is a stupid piece of shit.

A budget is not a moral document.

They are documents which delineate spending.

Just because you sit up and give a speech and throw John Lewis, his name around in it doesn’t make your point any less retarded.

The Representative also said “No Kings” a lot. We need to remind him that we have no kings and haven’t since 1776. Battles on behalf of the American people have never been fought by the likes of Mr. Jeffries. The One Big Beautiful Bill passed 217-214.
