California News:
California’s political elites embody the phrase “do as I say, not as I do.” They pride themselves on pushing the envelope beyond the insane in the name of acceptance, peace, and equality. However, they are always the first to promote discrimination, inequality and the last to condemn political violence. The true “kings” of California are the uni-party that has choked our state of economic growth, responded with militant force to COVID-19, and bankrupted our people with an endless array of tax-and-spend schemes disguised as “progress.”
This hypocrisy was painfully evident in the streets of Los Angeles, where anti-ICE and “No Kings” protests turned violent. Our elected officials refused to denounce the danger to their citizens, businesses, and law enforcement. With round two of the “No Kings” protests scheduled for Independence Day weekend, it’s time reflect on who the real authoritarians are here in California.
Federal and local law enforcement officers were besieged by protestors hurdling everything from bricks to bottles and launching commercial grade fireworks at them. The National Guard and Marines were deployed because politicians like Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass refused to act. They repeatedly refused to decry the violent, destructive actions of these protestors as they caused more than $32 million worth of damage to Los Angeles, America’s second-largest city.
They allowed American citizens to suffer pure chaos, just because they disagree with the policies the American people overwhelmingly voted for in November. They all but admitted they don’t care about the safety of their citizens by suing President Trump for sending in reinforcements to clean up a mess they created with failed open borders policies.
The message from California’s elite politicians was clear: violence is wrong, except if it promotes our agenda.
The hypocritical attitudes of the progressive ruling class have plagued the hard-working people of California for years. Who can forget the hypocrisy of our fearless leaders during the COVID-19 pandemic?
In true “king-like” fashion, Governor Newsom preached on television and social media about the virtues of “protecting your fellow man” by wearing masks, social distancing, and staying home. However, the global pandemic was no reason for he and his friends to cancel their fancy dinner plans at the French Laundry in Napa. Other Californians who have migrated to Washington, D.C. are no better – Nancy Pelosi was caught red-handed going to her hairdresser while mandating her constituents to stay home for their “protection.” She clearly violated the city’s COVID-19 restrictions, but appeared frustrated and flustered when called out publicly for her hypocritical faux pas. These same politicians demanded compliance with masking, supported the mass firing of nurses and armed services members, and defended the shuttering of churches and schools.
We cannot let California’s political elite forget what they did to our state during COVID-19.
We cannot let them whitewash the authoritarian and unconstitutional policies they promoted.
We cannot let these dishonest politicians and activists claim the mantle of anti-tyranny.
COVID-19 isn’t the only example of their authoritarian tendencies. Our ruling class routinely champions the virtues of “clean” energy and environmental protection. Meanwhile, the state’s gas prices are a painful example of oppressive rule from our government, something we get hit with every time we visit a pump. Small business owners and working people, many struggling to make ends meet, are gouged at the gas pumps at an increasing rate each year. We are consistently forced to ration water under the guise of preserving nature, only to see it destroyed by wildfires that our leaders seem wholly incapable of preventing.
You cannot be anti-authoritarian while promoting policies that hinder free choice and starve workers of their hard-earned wages.
If the true “kings” of California practiced what they preach, our state might stand a chance. If our leaders were to rule with the needs of the people as their first priority, we’d have safer communities, affordable prices, and less implied guilt.
“No Kings 2.0” protests should be held to protest the people who claim to care for our people, but don’t. Instead, they plan to repeatedly boycott President Trump, who was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to enact changes that would lighten their wallets and build a stronger economy.
Career politicians will support these protests, but Americans should not.
