The Real and Pathetic Reason the Democrats are Exclusively Focusing on Medicaid Reform in the Big and Beautiful Bill
People often say more through omission than with actual words. While comments can obviously be telling, often silence at a key time communicates far more than verbalization. When Democratic leaders and their allies in the failing legacy remained quiet in the summer of 2020 while radical left-wing individuals burned and rioted across America’s cities, that silence was complicity. In today’s broken Democratic party, the Democrats aren’t even allowed to agree with the popular President on any issue without facing a severe and deep backlash, and many individuals on the left who support key components of the MAGA agenda would never say so publicly.
Trump is doing exactly what he ran on. What you see is what you get with the 47th President. The Republican party’s new big and beautiful bill focuses on making Trump’s successful tax cut permanent, allocating money for necessary deportations, creating new incentives and tax breaks for oil and companies to make the US more energy independent, and further strengthening our military as well. This is a piece of legislation that is focused on the core purpose of the MAGA movement, rebuilding the middle class. Trump’s bill makes important tax credits for kids permanent, closes to border and deports illegal immigrants to ensure wages remain higher, and also makes sure the energy sector, employing millions of Americans and providing cheap and affordable access to oil and gas, is strong. While the Biden regime’s signature piece of legislation, the absurdly named Inflation Reduction Act, was centered on what the left refers to as climate change, Republicans are prioritizing the heart and soul of the country, the middle class.
This is why any remotely objective observer understands why the Democratic party is mysteriously silent on what is actually in the bill, with the exception of the very modest cuts to the waste, fraud, and abuse in the medicaid system. The reality is that most Democrats actually support Trump’s tax legislation, which included significant increases in the child tax credit and makes the overall tax code more progressive. The top 1 percent is making a higher percentage of the taxes after this legislation was passed in 2017. Democrats know the American public does not care about the tax subsidies for the renewable energy industry this legislation does away with them.
The big and beautiful bill puts American families and the middle class first. This legislation has incentives for people to get married and have kids, as well as for industries to invest and employ American workers. The bill also includes money to deport people here illegally, including those committing crimes and sucking billions in tax payer money away from citizens of this country at a time when many people are still struggling from four long years of failed left-wing economic policies from the failed Biden regime. Democrats are also not comfortable criticizing Trump’s focus on rebuilding the military; that argument would also obviously be a political loser.
The fact is that the majority of Democrats actually support much of what is in this legislation, and many like this bill more than the gross alternative, the Democratic Party’s Inflation Reduction Act, which did nothing to reduce prices or help the middle class, but instead simply created more inflation. Senator Warren and others speak constantly and post negatively on Trump’s legislation, but all these individuals focus on, for the most part, are the modest cuts to Medicaid. The left does not offer any specific criticism of nearly 90 percent of the bill, including the most important part of this critically important legislation, making the successful Trump tax cut permanent. The Democrats are very quiet about most of what is in this bill, and their silence says far more than the absurd talking points some in the party are repeating.
