The People’s Union USA Wants You to Boycott July 4th — Please Do!

It was only a matter of time before the professional America-haters found a new way to ruin the Fourth of July. Enter John Schwarz and his tiny group, the People’s Union USA. They are now calling for a national boycott of Independence Day.

Their plan is simple. They want you to stay home, skip the fireworks, and think really hard about how awful the United States is.

This week marks America’s birthday, 249 years of independence from a monarch. Is anyone really surprised this stunt is making the rounds? For decades, the Left has sown division at every turn. They tell us we should be ashamed of the very freedom that lets them whine in the first place.

So now we have the People’s Union USA calling for a July 4th boycott. Are we shocked? Not even a little.

A Boycott Built on Empty Words and Zero Proof

Here we go again, another wannabe revolutionary whining in vague slogans with zero receipts to back it up. Not one real example, not one actual freedom under attack. Just empty word salad, designed to sound deep enough for the AOC and Zohran Mamdani fan clubs to nod along like sheep. Throw out big words, drop a few systems are rigged clichés, and hope some poor sap scrolling by thinks, “Wow, what a righteous truth teller!”

Another nationwide boycott is on the way. This time, it happens on the upcoming July 4th holiday and is considered “the most important boycott of the year” by the organizer.

Instead of attending parades or celebrating with fireworks, John Schwarz, founder of The People’s Union USA, encourages participants to stay home with family and friends, and to only support small, local businesses rather than major corporations.

Schwarz cited recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests, corporate actions, backlash against protests, and current Trump administration policies as reasons for the upcoming boycott in a recent TikTok video.

Why Young People Fall for This Righteous Racket

And honestly, who can blame young people for falling for it? What has Washington — the Obamas, the Bidens, all the smooth-talking grifters, actually left them? Stagnant wages, unaffordable housing, crippling debt, and leaders who lecture them about democracy while selling their future to the highest bidder. Of course, they are angry. They certainly want to believe that someone like this is fighting for them. Too bad he is just another huckster selling cheap slogans with no solutions, and blaming America while cashing in on its freedom.

According to Schwarz, this July 4th boycott is the most important boycott of the year. He wants Americans to disengage completely. No parades. Forget about hot dogs. And certainly no fireworks. Just sit at home, glare at the flag, and tell yourself you’re taking down the system by skipping sparklers and potato salad. Really powerful stuff. Nothing says “revolution” like refusing a hot dog and pretending your backyard sulk-fest is going to bring the country to its knees.

Call This What It Is: A Tantrum, Not a Movement

All over X, it is being breathlessly reported that this is an “advocacy group” calling for a July 4th boycott. Really? What exactly are they advocating for? Crawling back to a monarchy we bled to escape? Handing our freedom over to people who would rather whine about America than lift a finger to make it better? If that is their big idea, let’s call it what it is: a tantrum dressed up as a movement, led by people who could never build a country worth celebrating in the first place.

The Fourth of July is not just about sparklers and watermelon slices. It reminds us what it means to celebrate freedom from a monarchy that treated people like disposable subjects. It stands for the radical idea that power comes from We the People, not from a distant king or an unelected ruling class. More than anything, it is a time for families to gather together and remember that freedom always comes at a price. That price is worth paying, every single generation.

Who Is John Schwartz, the Man Behind the People’s Union USA?

So, who is the mastermind behind this July 4th boycott? Meet John Schwarz, or, as he prefers to be called online, TheOneCalledJai. Schwarz describes himself as the founder of the People’s Union USA and a man who has seen the truth with his own eyes.

According to his own website bio, Schwarz grew up in Queens in a rough home, hustled jobs to survive, made a name as a professional drummer, and later became a drum instructor for a popular online music school. Somewhere between the drum solos and the meditation sessions he started at age six, he decided the system was rigged and the human spirit was not meant for industrial slavery.

His story is long on victimhood and very short on clear goals, other than telling everyone to stop celebrating Independence Day. And at the end of his emotional life story, Schwarz makes it clear that any pushback or “attempt to undermine this movement through intimidation” will not be tolerated. Big revolution, just don’t disagree, or the ‘guru’ calls his lawyer.

Patriots Will Celebrate — Boycotters Can Pout

So there you have it. A self-proclaimed mindfulness guru who wants to build something real by convincing Americans to boycott the one holiday that actually celebrates our freedom from being subjects of a system. Sounds about right.

So if John Schwarz and the People’s Union USA really think they can guilt the rest of us into sulking on our couches, they are even more clueless than they sound. These are the same types who chant community and solidarity while spending every waking minute telling Americans to hate the very country that lets them run their mouths for free.

Here is a better idea: if the sight of a flag makes you break out in hives, if fireworks send you into a moral meltdown, if burgers and freedom songs trigger a fresh wave of outrage, please, by all means, stay home. Keep your righteous little boycott. Stay off Main Street, stay out of the park, stay far away from the parade route. The rest of us will celebrate like adults; we will manage just fine without your doom-and-gloom lectures about how unfair it all is. In fact, the lines for kettle corn and lemonade will be shorter without you. So, thank you in advance for the extra elbow room.

Let Them Boycott — We Will Celebrate

A boycott of Independence Day is not a brave stand. It is proof that the loudest anti-American activists have no clue how freedom works. They want all the perks of living here while rejecting the foundation that makes it possible.

So, to the People’s Union USA, stay home. Post your protest selfies. Write your angsty manifestos. The rest of us will be too busy watching the rockets’ red glare, raising a toast to the Founders, and teaching our kids why we celebrate freedom instead of boycotting it.

Happy Fourth of July to every patriot who loves this country enough to show up for it. And to the boycotters? Thanks for the extra parking spot at the fireworks show.
