Whoever is behind the leak of the preliminary Iran damage assessment wants to undermine “one of the most successful weeks in American presidential history,” said Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts on a “Fox News Sunday” panel today.
“In this town, leaks are the currency of people who lack virtue, and President [Donald] Trump is restoring common sense to this ridiculous practice too,” Roberts declared.
Roberts recounted some of the Trump administration’s successes this week, including “the degradation of Iran’s nuclear threat.”
“My national security colleagues at Heritage, who were in the [National Security Council] in the first term, are convinced that Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been seriously degraded,” Roberts said.
Additionally, Roberts noted that the U.S. brokered a peace deal between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo this week, “both the S&P and the Nasdaq hit record highs” on Friday, and there is the “obviously imminent passage” of the One Big Beautiful Bill, “which puts the policy trajectory of this administration on the fast track.”
While meeting with business leaders and heads of state in Europe last week, Roberts said even those who “are skeptics of Trump and Vance” admitted “it was beautiful to see that President Trump is bringing order back to the world.”
