Trump Withdrew From Iran Deal, So Iran’s Nukes Are His Fault

The New York Times just can’t help themselves. Now they’ve decided that the ONLY reason President Trump bombed Iran’s three nuclear facilities is due to the Iran Deal. Specifically, Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran Deal emboldened Iran to move to build nukes.

No, I’m not kidding. 

That’s because attacks on one of the sites, in Isfahan, shattered gear that Iran was preparing to use for the transformation of enriched uranium gas into dense metal. That process, known as metallization, is among the last steps in making the explosive core of an atomic bomb.

Some nuclear experts argue that the demolished gear might never have existed but for President Trump’s abandoning a restrictive nuclear deal in his first term that President Barack Obama had negotiated.

Mr. Trump and his allies faulted the 2015 Obama deal as preserving Iran’s ability to produce as much nuclear fuel as it wanted after 2030. But some experts see that criticism as ignoring a far more immediate threat. They note that Iran ramped up work at Isfahan only after Mr. Trump canceled the deal, and that now, in effect, he has been forced to neutralize a danger of his own making.

Read that again. In the space of just three paragraphs, the NY Slimes admits that Iran was definitely moving quickly towards a full development of nuclear weapons, yet also found some “experts” (who hate Trump) who claim none of that happened until Trump withdrew from the Iran Deal. 

This is both comical and full-on gaslighting. You see, as HotAir’s Ed Morrissey points out, Iran has been moving towards nuclear weapons for decades. We knew that here at Victory Girls when we were blasting Obama and John Kerry’s Iran Deal. It didn’t matter that Iran signed it, we knew it was being violated before the pen even hit the paper. We knew it was going to be violated when it became clear how many concessions were given to Iran in addition to all the pallets of cash they were handed. 

The New York Times, as Ed points out, also knew this back in 2015, BEFORE Trump announced his first run for President! 

With only one month left before a deadline to complete a nuclear deal with Iran, international inspectors have reported that Tehran’s stockpile of nuclear fuel increased about 20 percent over the last 18 months of negotiations, partially undercutting the Obama administration’s contention that the Iranian program had been “frozen” during that period.

But Western officials and experts cannot quite figure out why. One possibility is that Iran has run into technical problems that have kept it from converting some of its enriched uranium into fuel rods for reactors, which would make the material essentially unusable for weapons. Another is that it is increasing its stockpile to give it an edge if the negotiations fail.

Gee, we just don’t know how Iran got their hands on more nuclear fuel??!! No one stopped to think that Iran had kept stockpiling while suckering Obama and John Kerry with their JCPOA negotiations? Whodathunk it??!!

Iran has made it very clear over the years that they have and will continue to build a nuclear weapons program. They’ve bragged about it multiple times. Yet Obama and his Obama bros persisted with the deal. 

Yet, the New York Times rolls with the, if Trump hadn’t ditched the Iran Deal, he wouldn’t have had to run Operation Midnight Hammer and drop bunker-buster bombs on three Iranian nuclear sites! 

Another thing to remember is the absolutely amazing raid into Iran’s nuke facilities conducted by Israel’s Mossad back in 2018, showing that Iran was blatantly defying the Iran Deal they signed.

The New York Times wasn’t the only one attempting to subtly blame Trump and even Israel for the bombings. NBC News got in on the game with this headline and subsequent report. 

Can Iran secretly build a nuclear bomb without being caught by Israel?

They literally claim in the article that Iran was never ever able to build their nuclear facilities in secret. 

The media so desperately wants all of this regarding Iran to somehow be Trump’s fault. 

Iran ignored Obama’s Deal – Trump’s fault!

Iran used their pallets of cash to support more terrorism and get their hands on additional enriched uranium – Trump’s fault!

Iran wouldn’t let UN inspectors in to look through the facilities they built deep into mountains – Trump’s fault!

Leaked intelligence by CNN’s Natasha Bertrand, that wasn’t even actionable intelligence – Trump’s fault!

Deploying Operation Midnight Hammer against Iran’s nuclear facilities – Trump’s fault!

This is what the media is rolling with right now. They, and the Democrats, will literally believe ANYTHING Iran says over what the Trump Administration puts out…solely because TRUMP. 

I tell you what, if Obama or Clinton or even Joe (which is a huge stretch), had dropped bombs on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the applause and parades would be months-long. 

They still don’t get it.

Yes, because it is Trump who authorized this amazing action (I’ll always have Top Gun: Maverick visions running through my head), the knives are out.
