Another European city. Another knife attack. Another migrant.
German police shot and killed a 27-year-old Afghan asylum seeker in Wangen (Göppingen district, Baden-Württemberg) after he launched a violent knife attack against officers attempting to serve a lawful arrest warrant. One officer was seriously injured in the assault.
The man who had already been convicted of assault and was due to begin serving his prison sentence pulled a knife when police found him at his registered address. He slashed at officers, seriously wounding one, before being shot multiple times. Despite resuscitation efforts, he died at the scene.
The attacker was not a citizen. He was not a guest. He was an Afghan migrant granted asylum in Germany, and like so many others, repaid that mercy with bloodshed.
This is not an isolated event. In April, German police were forced to shoot another migrant attacker in Hilzingen who came at officers with an axe. Days earlier, in Schramberg, another man refused to lower his weapon and was shot dead. Baden-Württemberg police have already used firearms seven times this year, mostly in self-defense against violent individuals.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, 2024 saw the highest number of police shootings in years—13 incidents, 3 dead, 9 injured. And the common denominator in many of these cases? Knife-wielding migrants.
Even police unions have had enough. “Another knife,” said Ralf Kusterer, head of the German Police Union. “More and more of us are becoming victims of violence. We’re tired of political platitudes. When will someone actually tackle the problem—those who carry knives?”
The deeper truth remains unspoken by politicians: Germany is not suffering from random “violence.” It is suffering from the consequences of Islamic migration. From Afghan knife attacks to Syrian gang wars to radical mosques preaching hatred—this is what open borders have brought.
The asylum system is broken. The streets are bleeding. And Europe’s leaders refuse to admit the obvious: you cannot import people from jihadist cultures without importing their violence.
