The phrase “our boys in bombers” refers to U.S. military pilots who operate bomber planes. It actually has nothing to do with gender, which is why it’s even more ridiculous that a reporter tried to corner Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for using that phrase.
It’s the left that constantly obsesses over gender and insignificant birth traits, which makes it all the more frustrating when they try to point fingers and blame the other side.
According to the New York Post:
In a Sunday news conference, Hegseth heaped praise on President Trump and the military campaign that saw six “bunker buster” bombs dropped on key nuclear sites in the country.
“The operation President Trump planned was bold and it was brilliant, showing the world that American deterrence is back,” he said, warning, “when this president speaks, the world should listen — and the US military, we can back it up.”
At one point, Hegseth casually called the B-2 pilots who dropped the 15-ton bombs on targets in Iran “our boys on those bombers,” which instantly got the Gray Lady in high dudgeon.
Incredibly, these left-wing reporters twist any phrase they can, acting as if this administration isn’t thankful for all pilots, no matter their gender.
“In the briefing, Hegseth referred to B-2 pilots as ‘our boys on those bombers,’ yet both men and women have been trained to fly them,” NYT Pentagon reporter John Ismay corrected the record on the outlet’s blog.
It’s nonsense like this that makes the media increasingly irrelevant. Instead of focusing on issues that actually matter or that the American people care about, reporters rush to twist any phrase to paint this administration as sexist, even though nothing could be further from the truth.
But as Hegseth pointed out, the gender of the pilot doesn’t matter, and “the American people don’t care.” That’s exactly why he refused to “play their little game,” and why this administration is more popular than the left ever expected.
