Is Jake Tapper really this dumb?

Is this actually real? Did the distinguished Jake Tapper actually say, “Asking questions is literally our job. Demanding facts and answers, instead of just taking a President’s word for it”? After over four years of the credentialed media covering for Joe Biden’s descent into dementia, now Mr Tapper is saying that the media’s job is to demand facts and answers? There’s a faked video of the Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunninghan trashing Jacy Sheldon of the Connecticut Sun that’s making the rounds on Facebook that’s pretty funny. In it, Miss Cunningham said that Miss Sheldon fell into the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, after the kerfuffle over Miss Cunningham’s hard foul on Miss Sheldon to stop a layup at the end of the game, a foul that was completely unnecessary, since the Fever were too far ahead of the Sun for the basket to have made a difference. It’s a good enough fake that it makes me wonder just how many artificial intelligence fakes there are in the world.

Mr Tapper and co-author Alex Thompson wrote their book Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, trying to cover their own asses and blaming everybody in Mr Biden’s administration for the elderly President’s decision to run for re-election despite his failing mental status. They were roundly mocked for not asking questions and demanding facts and answers when everybody could see that our 46^th President was failing. I asked Will Bunch of The Philadelphia Inquirer “was there any discussion in the newsroom concerning Mr Biden’s growing incapacity before it all blew up during the debate?” but, of course, I never got any answer.

The credentialed media were appalled, aghast, apoplectic when Donald Trump hung the #FakeNews hashtag on them in 2015, but was it not fake news when all of the legacy media sources other than Fox News and the New York Post were telling us that everything was fine with Mr Biden?

Robert Stacy McCain calls reporters like Mr Tapper “Democrats with bylines,” and journolists like Mr Tapper seem to be doing their best to prove him right. If the tape has not been faked, I’m just plain stunned that Mr Tapper was stupid enough to have said that.
