A California school board member wants to use public resources to provide resources for illegal aliens, including students and their parents.
Robert Ocampo of the Alisal Union School District suggested offering “targeted social, emotional support” to illegal aliens and their families.
He also floated the idea of having Monterey County attorneys hold workshops to teach illegal aliens about their rights.
“I think that we need to get involved and we should not put our heads in the sand,” Ocampo said. “We should, you know, acknowledge that this is a problem that is happening and we should do whatever we can to support our immigrant parents.”
