President Donald Trump plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday alongside the NATO summit, according to a White House official granted anonymity to discuss the meeting.

Trump said on Tuesday morning aboard Air Force One on his way to The Hague, Netherlands, that he would “probably” meet with Zelenskyy, though he did not confirm at the time.
The two last met face-to-face in April at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City during Pope Francis’ funeral. That was their first in-person meeting since their fiery February exchange in the Oval Office.
This comes as Trump is trying to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine.
Like Israel and Iran, Trump hopes to negotiate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. Ending the wars in Eastern Europe and the Middle East has been a key focus of his administration since he took office.
“I’d like to see a deal with Russia,” he said during the press gaggle aboard Air Force One and noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to help in peace talks between Iran and Israel.
Trump is the peace President.
