In the new official statement released on June 18, 2025, the uncompleted large-scale narcotics smuggling tunnel linking Tijuana to the San Diego area, is described as one of the most advanced ever discovered, equipped with electrical wiring, lighting, ventilation systems, and a rail track system designed for transporting large quantities of contraband…
The tunnel measures 2,918 feet in total length, 42 inches in height, 28 inches in width and runs approximately 50 feet underground at its deepest point. The entrance was located within a residence in the Nueva Tijuana neighborhood and it likely aimed for a nearby commercial warehouse in the US.
Weirdly, they found a very similar tunnel in the same exact area five years ago… Are we just recycling the boogeymen now? Is this the same tunnel or a new one?
