Over the last two days, reports have been blowing up that Kamala Harris is about to enter the California governor’s race.
I predicted this quite some time ago, as it is likely the only way she can save her political career.
This would be an easy win for Harris, as the field is quite pathetic right now, and it is the next logical step for her.
Back in the game
According to the report, Harris “has a lot of people in her ear telling her that it makes the most sense and she can do the most good.”
That makes perfect sense because the people of California are the only ones who still like Harris.
Even without having yet entered the race (and it is already a crowded field), Harris is lapping the competition.
Realistically, Harris needs to establish a record if she ever plans on running for president.
If we are being honest, she had little record to stand on when she became VP, did nothing while in office, then ruined her chances by not speaking to the media during her presidential run in 2024.
In my opinion, Gavin Newsom is now the favorite in the Democratic Party after all of his grandstanding against Donald Trump on immigration and the recent Los Angeles riots.
The liberal Kool-Aid papers are gushing over him right now, calling him a “fighter,” so I think he has to be considered the favorite for 2028.
I don’t think it would benefit Harris to run for governor in 2026, then run for president again in 2028 after just taking office, so she could instead aim to be a two-term governor rather than abandoning her office like she did in the Senate to become Biden’s VP.
And since liberals clearly do not care about getting results, that would likely put Harris front and center for office in either 2032 or 2036, depending on how the 2028 election pans out.
Either way, however, I don’t see her ever winning a presidential election, because I don’t see any of those scenarios benefiting the Democratic Party candidate. She is destined to be Hillary Clinton 2.0.
