Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine confirmed that this was *”the largest B-2 operational strike in U.S. history, and the second longest B-2 mission ever flown, exceeded only by those in the days following 9/11.”* More than 125 U.S. aircraft participated in the mission, demonstrating unparalleled coordination and firepower. Hegseth stated that while full assessments are ongoing, “all of our precision munitions struck where we wanted them to strike and had the desired effect.”
