Women Speak Out Virginia – 2025, a partner of SBA Pro-Life America, will deploy 100 field team workers to visit the homes of 150,000 voters in Richmond and Virginia Beach to support Republicans in securing a majority in the House of Delegates and stop a potential all-trimester abortion ballot measure.
Led by Virginia State Director Marlene Downing, the field team will talk to voters about Democrats’ efforts to replace the state’s current law limiting abortion in the sixth month with abortion until birth. Downing previously served as Pennsylvania state director for SBA in the 2024 election. Her team visited 447,600 voters at their doorsteps to successfully defeat Kamala Harris and elect Republican U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick.

Downing says the SBA field team will hit the ground running today:
“Democrats in Richmond are determined to wipe away all limitations on abortion in Virginia, even allowing painful late-term abortions in the 7th, 8th, and 9th month of pregnancy and repealing Virginia’s parental involvement laws. Our canvassers will expose this extremism to voters in the most important House of Delegates races. As the largest pro-life voter contact program in the country, we are known for our impact on elections. Our doorstep conversations change the minds of persuadable voters and energize pro-life Americans to go to the polls.”
In January, Democrats in the General Assembly passed a resolution to amend the state constitution allowing all-trimester abortion, eliminating parental consent, ending health protections for women and girls, and forcing taxpayers to fund abortion. To be placed on the ballot, the amendment must be approved by the General Assembly again after the November election.
The Women Speak Out PAC Virginia – 2025 outreach program is exposing the extremism of the following Democrat candidates who support the amendment enshrining abortion after six months:
- May Nivar (District 57), Jessica Anderson (District 71), Dustin Wade (District 75), Kimberly Pope Adams (District 82), Nadarius Clark (District 84), Michael Feggans (District 97)
Women Speak Out Virginia has been active in previous state elections, including 2021 when Republicans won the House of Delegates and the gubernatorial race.
