Thanks to an activist judge, Columbia’s problematic anti-Israel protestor, Mahmoud Khalil, is free and at it again.
After spending 104 days in detention in Louisiana, he was welcomed home by a horde of adoring pro-Palestinian fans. Including fangirl AOC.
Yeah, the disconnect is staggering. In any other era, that kind of alignment would be political suicide. Now it gets applause. Shows just how far the Overton window has shifted.

Exactly. Yet today, there’s applause from the progressive wing and the media.
No sooner had he gotten back to New York, then the rallies began.
Anti-Israel protester Mahmoud Khalil on Sunday bashed his alma mater Columbia University over its “hypocrisy” in claiming to support international students while leaving him to rot in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center for three months until his release last week.
“I must call the hypocrisy of Columbia University. A university that just two weeks ago said that they want to protect their international students,” lamented the 30-year-old, who was wearing a blue polo shirt emblazoned with “Lift the siege on Gaza,” as he spoke on the steps of St. John the Divine in Morningside Heights, just blocks from the Ivy League’s campus where he helped spearhead anti-Israel encampments last year.
“While over 100 days later, I haven’t received a single call from this university.”
Given Columbia’s self-inflicted troubles, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere near the dude, let alone have a phone call with him. Because you just know he’d run right to the adoring media with THAT conversation!
It wasn’t just the ‘welcome home’ rally he was at. Nope, he went to several rallies on Sunday. And gave multiple interviews whining about Columbia and the super harsh conditions he endured.
Mahmoud Khalil: It felt like kidnapping, to be honest. You have plainclothes agents in unmarked cars, not identifying themselves, claiming to have an arrest warrant that they did not show. At no point did I know where I was going. I only knew that I was flying to Louisiana the moment we boarded the plane. It was a very difficult experience, being disconnected from everything, being shackled all the time during transport, except on the airplane, where I had two ICE agents basically surrounding me, making sure I didn’t look at the news, didn’t communicate with anyone, surveilling me the entire time. For almost 30 hours, until I arrived in Louisiana, I was fully disconnected from the world.
Fadel: What were the conditions like at the detention facility where you were being held all this time?
Khalil: The conditions inside were very dire. For the first week, I believe, I did not eat much. The food is inedible. It was very cold. Back in March, you get only one blanket while it is, I believe, around 60 degrees. You have no privacy whatsoever, sort of sleeping with over 70 men in the room, and no one explaining to you what’s happening or what will happen. Many of them are confused about why they ended up in such a place. Although, I mean, most of them are in the country without documentation. But still, does that warrant their indefinite arrest?
Khalil, do you need some cheese with that whine??
It’s not only that he’s an outright supporter of Hamas and Palestine, he’s completely on board with supporting Iran.

Keep in mind, the judge ordered Khalil to be released, with conditions, one of which is just astounding.
Khalil has the court’s permission to travel to Washington D.C. to lobby members of Congress.
Magistrate Judge Michael Hammer said Khalil will have to “surrender his passport and any other travel documents” as a condition of his release.
Hammer also ordered Khalil to limit his travel to New York, where he lives; Michigan, where he has family; New Jersey, where Farbiarz is based; Louisiana, the location of his immigration case; and Washington, D.C., for congressional visits and lobbying efforts.
Oh yes, you read that correctly. You can darned well bet, that this will be a key talking point as he “lobbies” on behalf of a terrorist regime.
“The wave of repression that the Trump administration initiated with my detention was intended to silence the movement for Palestinian liberation,” Khalil said. “It was intended to scare people into silence. It was intended to distract us from the fact that the U.S. government is a killing machine in Palestine and across the world. But they completely failed. Millions of people spoke up even louder, that it is our responsibility to end this genocide, no matter the personal cost, no matter the personal cost. And that’s exactly what I will continue trying to do as long, so long as I’m able, so long as I am breathing.”
The media and democrat political complex spent weeks lamenting the fact that Khalil didn’t get to be present for the birth of his son. He was so troubled by missing that milestone that his chief priority yesterday was…protest rallies rather than family time at home with his infant son.
Mahmoud Khalil has demonstrated his hatred for this country. He’s thumbing his nose at both the Trump Administration and the rule of law. He’s emboldened and is thus emboldening others. His participation in the protests along with his support of terrorist regimes, in my opinion, is a danger to our national security.
He absolutely should be deported…ASAP.
