(NewsNation) — On Saturday, June 21, the U.S. conducted “Operation Midnight Hammer” during which three strikes were made on Iranian nuclear facilities that President Trump called a “spectacular military success.” Sunday morning, Pentagon officials echoed Trump’s statements, saying the strikes caused “severe damage.”
Three nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan — were hit and Iran’s furious response came swiftly.
“Iran condemns in the strongest terms” the “outrageous, grave and unprecedented” violation of international law, Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said at a news conference in Turkey on Sunday.
“Iran reserves all options to defend its security, interests and people,” Araghchi said.
