President Trump has officially run out of patience. The B-2s have made a delivery to three nuclear sites in Iran, and the United States has sent an unmistakable message.
On Saturday evening, President Trump announced a strike on Iranian targets with this message on Truth Social.
While the message may have been delivered with the MOPs used, the true message is this:
The Trump Doctrine: 60 days means 60 days.

The consensus is that President Trump set a red line with the 60 days, and when those 60 days were up, Israel was turned loose. I really think that Trump wanted to Iranians to come to the table at that point, and continued to offer them every single available off-ramp, all while watching Iranian leadership get absolutely decimated by Israel. But when Trump gave them two weeks to come back to negotiations, Iran refused. At that point, in the president’s calculations, there was no sense in waiting the two weeks. Or the “two weeks” was a piece of strategic ambiguity by the president, and Iran failed the test.
The end result was a reported SIX “bunker buster” MOPs dropped on Fordow, with additional Tomahawk missiles hitting Natanz and Isfahan. President Trump came out, flanked by Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Hegseth, to give a quick and pointed update to the American people about the operation.
The president addressed the nation at 10 p.m. Saturday, saying from the White House that “our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.”
“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success,” Trump said, flanked by Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated. Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier.”
Trump said that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “worked as a team, like perhaps no team has ever worked before” to take out Iran’s nuclear program.
The commander in chief said time is of the essence for the Islamic republic — and warned of serious consequences if peace is not achieved.
“There are many targets left. Tonight’s was the most difficult of them all, by far, and perhaps the most lethal,” he said. “But if peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill.”
Obviously, Israel approved of the B-2 run on Iran, and Prime Minister Netanyahu sent a video message lauding President Trump for his actions.
President Trump and I often say: ‘Peace through strength.’
First comes strength, then comes peace.
And tonight, @realDonaldTrump and the United States acted with a lot of strength. pic.twitter.com/7lTWCZkgw7

The Trump administration did apparently give a heads up to Congressional leadership. Speaker Johnson put out a statement expressing his support, and while Democrats begin their predictable complaints about the president’s actions, one Democrat stood up and cheered.
As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS.
Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities.
I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world.

Now, we will have to wait and see how Iran responds. Do they even have the operational capability to retaliate against United States assets within the Middle East, after over a week of pounding by Israel? Will their response be loud saber rattling, with no blade to back it up? Do they dare risk targeting anything that would bring forth retaliation?
We live in interesting times, and now we wait to see what the operational damage to these nuclear sites looks like in daylight – and if Iran can muster up any kind of response with weapons spent and military planners dead.
