President Donald Trump is balancing major international challenges, but continues to engage in personal disputes.
On Tuesday night, Trump reignited his ongoing feud with Elon Musk by sharing a video clip from The Will Cain Show on Fox News.
The segment mocked Musk after he posted the results of a recent drug test, following a New York Times report alleging extensive drug use by the Tesla CEO.
Fox News host Will Cain and comedian John Crist did not hold back their humor. Cain joked about wanting a detailed breakdown of the drugs tested in Musk’s screening. “I wanna know exactly what came back negative,” he quipped.
Crist added that drug testing often happens during a person’s worst times, recalling that his own drug-test periods were not his proudest.
He suggested that whatever Musk’s test revealed is less concerning than Musk’s overall behavior, according to the Conservative Brief.
Cain chimed in, praising Musk’s genius in rocketry and space exploration, implying that whatever substances Musk might use are not his main concern.
Despite Musk’s recent efforts to soften his tone toward Trump—after previously making sharp attacks including linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein files—the feud clearly persists, as seen by Trump’s recent post.
Musk had posted what appeared to be a copy of his urinalysis results on X (formerly Twitter) early Tuesday morning. The move aimed to silence critics accusing him of drug use, according to The New York Post.
The test, conducted the previous Tuesday, came back negative for nearly two dozen substances, including ecstasy, cocaine, and ketamine. This was in contrast to media reports alleging frequent drug use by Musk.
Musk captioned the post with “Lol,” sharing the results at about 3:44 a.m. ET. Urine tests typically detect drugs only if used within a few days prior, and Musk’s sample showed normal creatinine levels, confirming its authenticity.
Musk has consistently denied being addicted to drugs. However, a New York Times report last month accused him of heavy drug use throughout the 2024 election campaign.
The report claimed Musk used ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, ketamine, possibly Adderall, and even traveled with about 20 pills while managing bladder issues.
Musk has admitted to limited ketamine use in the past to treat mental health but insists he no longer uses the anesthetic drug that contributed to actor Matthew Perry’s death.
In addition, The Wall Street Journal reported last year that Musk’s use of Ambien disturbed Tesla board members and accused him of using cocaine, LSD, ecstasy, mushrooms, and ketamine.
Earlier this month, Musk suddenly launched a harsh attack on Trump via X posts, accusing the president’s team of suppressing Epstein-related files because Trump was implicated.
Musk later deleted those posts and complained that Trump would not have won the 2024 election without Musk’s financial support, even suggesting Trump should be impeached.
The Washington Post reported that Trump has privately called Musk “a big-time drug addict.” Publicly, however, Trump has been more measured, saying he hopes Musk has not brought drugs into the White House.
Musk has since issued a partial apology, saying he regrets some of his posts about Trump last week, admitting they “went too far.”
