One of the banes of social media is that it can take just one blockhead in charge of an institution’s X or Facebook account to post something that not only makes one question not just who is running the place, but how they run it.
It appears every government department, from Feds right on down through city fire and police departments have official social media accounts. The Sheriff’s Department of San Bernardino County in California is no exception.
Southern California has recently been the hotspot of the latest leftwing attempts at repeating the riots of 2020. Downtown Los Angeles hasn’t been the only place in the Democrats’ feudal state where paid agitators and feral anarchists have taken to the streets to riot and loot while local politicians bleat that “This is just peaceful protest! It’s all Trump’s fault!”
These organized “protestors” have been popping up all around California, spreading rumors and organizing harassment of local LEOs.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department issued two statements Thursday seeking to clarify recent false rumors and urge the public to be cautious of the spread of misinformation.
Several issues have arisen from unmarked patrol vehicles being mistaken for federal agents.
Which sounds pretty serious and one might think at this point, local law enforcement would stand shoulder to shoulder with their peers in other agencies to present a united front that no attacks or interference would be tolerated. You know, that Thin Blue Line.
You would think that.
@sbcountysheriff explain yourselves. I have a great deal of respect for your department. That these two X messages leave the impression, even for the casual reader, to conclude you have few issues with rioters attacking ICE officers (“just leave us alone!”) is pretty alarming. pic.twitter.com/gdXhrpa1xq

These were deleted from both X and Facebook, but screenshots are forever.
Rather than “clearing up the confusion” and saying no confrontations with any law enforcement will be tolerated, it appears San Bernarndino’s Sheriff’s Department is fine with the targeting of ICE agents. We already know that LAPD took two hours to respond to attacks on ICE (which is what triggered the President’s activation of the National Guard), but it makes one wonder how many other California law enforcement agencies are going to turn their backs on Federal officers. Fontana’s Police Department added their “we’re the good guys, leave us alone and go get that guy over there!” to the erasure of the Thin Blue Line.
Great job, guys. I’m sure such capitulation to the mob will engender all the respect from the normies you deserve.
