Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco rated dead last in a new study ranking America’s cities.
“We can learn how well city officials manage and spend public funds by comparing the quality of the services residents receive against the city’s total budget,” WalletHub Financial Writer Adam McCann wrote its study, The New York Post reported.
San Fran’s former Democrat Mayor London Breed lost by 10 points to Democrat Daniel Lurie last year, but he doesn’t appear to be much better.
Each city received a “Quality of Services” score derived from 36 metrics organized into six categories: financial stability, education, health, safety, economy, and infrastructure and pollution. These scores were evaluated in relation to the city’s per capita budget, The Post reported.
The study evaluated the “effectiveness of local leadership” by “determining a city’s operating efficiency,” WalletHub explained. San Francisco ranked 148th out of 148 cities.
The five cities that ranked just above The City by the Bay, according to WalletHub:
Detroit(147th)
Nearby, Oakland (146th)
New York City (145th)
Philadelphia (144th)
And Baltimore (143rd)
Hmm, what do all these cities have in common? Oh yeah, Democrat mayors!
Provo, Utah scored top place for best run cities, according to WalletHub.
“Provo, UT, is the best-run city, and the reasons for that are that the city is experiencing business growth of around 5.2%, alongside a high school graduation rate of nearly 91%, a combination that signals a strong foundation for the future,” McCann explained also citing low crime and clean streets.

Republican Mayor Michelle Kaufusi called the ranking “truly an honor.”
“We’ve always believed in getting the fundamentals right—delivering quality education, maintaining safe neighborhoods, ensuring well-maintained infrastructure, and practicing responsible fiscal stewardship. This national ranking validates that approach and shows that when you focus on providing exceptional core services efficiently, the results speak for themselves: residents prosper, businesses flourish, and our entire community thrives,” Kaufusi told Fox News Digital.
