According to newly released documents, the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) had been taking notes from none other than the left-wing activist group, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) – a collection of evil so thoroughly soaked in partisan bile that it’s a hate group masquerading as an anti- hate group.
Documents obtained via FOIA and shared with The Daily Signal, show that Biden’s DOJ prosecutors were not only listening to the SPLC but treating it like some sort of gospel. Yes, the same SPLC that slaps “hate group” labels on mainstream Christian organizations and conservative nonprofits, while somehow ignoring the extremists that align with their own ideology.
In a November 2023 gathering that sounds more like a leftist fan club meeting than a legal forum, an internal email hyped a “Hate Crimes Symposium” hosted at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina.
The Civil Rights Division’s Criminal Section bragged it would focus on the “investigation and prosecution of federal hate crimes.”
The DOJ anticipated over 100 assistant U.S. attorneys and criminal division lawyers to show up, along with agents from the FBI’s ever-busy Hate Crimes/Domestic Terrorism Fusion Cell.
But presenters wouldn’t just include DOJ lawyers and national security officials. The list also included staff from the SPLC. What could possibly go wrong with the SPLC giving out advice on so-called hate groups – which just so happens to include a list of Bible-believing churches, parental rights advocates, and anyone not waving a rainbow flag.
What’s next? Planned Parenthood teaching ethics? Antifa running civics class? Don’t laugh. Under the Biden Administration, it probably happened – and was funded by YOUR tax dollars.
This shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone. Biden’s DOJ was always more interested in chasing “wrongthink” than cartel crime or anything that the DOJ should have been focused on. But now we know they were getting their marching orders from the same outfit that once got sued by its own employees for racism and sexual harassment.
And while America was grappling with rising crime, open borders, and actual threats to public safety, Biden’s DOJ was busy playing footsie with a group that thinks moms at school board meetings are domestic terrorists.
