Exploring the Corporate Price Vortex

At late as the 1940s, most American men were either self-employed or worked for small businesses where their roles were unique and came with responsibility. Corporate jobs took over because the money was better, but they have raised prices to erase any benefits of the higher numerical salaries.

Corporate jobs are like Communism: they seize tons of wealth and spread it to incompetents in exchange for loyalty.

There is one rule of corporate work, like in school, which is to socialize with others and be pacifistic in how you treat them. Even if you are flamingly incompetent, as long as you are easy to get along with and obey instructions, you will always have a mediocre job.

If you hang on and self-promote, as well as socialize with your workmates, you will eventually get promoted to the stratosphere of those with titled jobs, at which point you will earn the mythical six figures and can live in a nice condo with a foreign car.

This lifestyle amounts to a shuffling of wealth from consumers to people with nothing better going for them than the ability to follow instructions pleasantly. The best of us are funding the least useful people in the name of the economy.

What makes corporations so destructive? The shareholders want more money, and because government has taken out so much (taxes, affirmative action, unions, regulations) the company must cut corners in its products and cut salaries for its workers.

Everyone gets more money, but that money buys less. Like in Communism, a dwindling group of makers is quickly subsumed by takers. We did better when each man had his own farm or shop because then he had to make reality work for him instead of just pleasantly obeying, a far easier task.
