According to Ronnie Winter, the singer for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, “being woke means you are awake.” And in the same breath, he would like to remind the public that Christians and Conservatives, especially those who voted for Trump, are still banned from his concerts, as that has been the case since the Panny D.
Tell me you hate Christians and you’re an arrogant buffoon without telling me — Winter goes first.
Call me crazy, but I hardly doubt this man “follows what Jesus says.”
So are we supposed to believe that being woke is morally superior to following the Gospel? Because that would be a bit of a stretch, if you ask me.
Again, it would have just been so much easier for him to say he hates Christians. He really did not have to do all of that.
According to Blunt Mag:
In a video posted to his Instagram over the weekend, Winter revisited his stance from 2020 and issued a pointed message to fans planning to attend future gigs (transcribed by Lambgoat).
“What’s up? Ronnie from Red Jumpsuit [Apparatus] here, just doing a quick little PSA – I thought I was pretty clear about all this stuff in 2020 – and as you notice my Instagram wall, I did not remove any of that stuff from the, uh – ‘Stay Woke’ campaign I guess you guys are calling it? – from 2020,” he begins.
“Look, man, the thing about being woke is you’re awake. And once you’re awake, you can never go to sleep. And not only has nothing changed, but everything they said was going to happen – the ‘woke’ people – has happened. You have done nothing but prove them right.”
The fact that he has such an ego despite being a one-hit wonder, with no song reaching platinum since probably 2006, says everything you need to know. He thinks he’s the best thing since sliced bread, but in reality, he’s just an arrogant jerk who knows nothing about politics.
“So here it is again, in case somehow you missed it. Hi, I’m Ronnie Winter. I sing for the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and I actually follow what Jesus says,” he said. “If you’re a Christian and you’re watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you. You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don’t want you there.”
And who even talks like that? Like, LOL, “Shame on you.” Why does he speak like he’s addressing children? Must have an IQ of 24. And honestly, I doubt Christians are lining up to hear a song from 20 years ago, and the sooner he realizes that, the better off he’ll be.
I don’t even need to tell you how cringe it is to use the term “stay woke,” but someone really should let him know before he out-cringes himself. Until then, there’s no way you could pay me to go to one of his concerts.
