On the anniversary of President Donald Trump’s 2015 campaign launch, his family unveiled a new venture aimed at disrupting a major American industry.
Trump Mobile, a mobile phone carrier introduced Monday by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, will offer customers a bundle of wireless and lifestyle services under one patriotic banner.
The announcement positions Trump Mobile as a direct competitor to mainstream telecom giants and is part of the Trump Organization’s growing portfolio of ventures that appeal to the president’s supporters.
Donald Trump Jr. said the family had long believed the telecommunications industry showed “lackluster performance,” citing the high costs of calling plans.
He described a market of Trump supporters who are “underserved” and open to switching providers.
“We’re going to be introducing an entire package of products,” he told The Hill.
The plan includes access to mobile service over all major carrier networks, as well as several bonus features.
Customers will receive telemedicine access, roadside assistance and unlimited texting to over 100 countries, all included in a flat monthly rate.
The centerpiece offering, called the “47 Plan,” is priced at $47.45 per month, a symbolic nod to Trump’s historic election as both the 45th and 47th president of the U.S., according to a press release.
The company’s website and promotional material emphasize American manufacturing, service and values.
“Trump Mobile is going to change the game,” Trump Jr. said in a statement to the press. “We’re building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service.”
He added that the company is headquartered in the United States and committed to domestic development and support.
In August, the company plans to release a signature smartphone called the TI Phone—a gold-finished device described as “sleek” and “engineered for performance.”
The phone is said to be designed and built in the U.S., a point the Trump family highlights as part of their broader message of economic nationalism.
The gold motif aligns with the personal aesthetic of the president, whose Oval Office has included similar design elements.
Though Trump has said he stepped away from managing the Trump Organization while serving in government, his children have continued to grow the family’s brand, according to Trending Politics.
The company has also moved into social media and cryptocurrency in recent years, including the launch of Truth Social, which briefly boosted the president’s net worth by over $4 billion after going public.
In a recent financial report, Trump disclosed more than $600 million in income, with the bulk tied to his investments in cryptocurrency and digital assets. His estimated holdings in crypto have grown to over $1 billion.
Despite past criticism from political opponents over his business ties, Trump has maintained that his children are running the companies independently.
Trump Mobile is the latest example of the family’s effort to build a direct-to-consumer network that reflects the values of the Trump political base.
With President Trump back in office, the Trump brand continues to expand into consumer markets, targeting supporters looking for alternatives to major corporations.
Trump Mobile exemplifies the family’s ongoing efforts to build businesses that resonate with their political base and offer new options beyond established industry players.
