Trump tells Biden-era parole recipients their legal status has been terminated

The administration of President Donald Trump just told those more than 500,000 individuals whom former President Joe Biden “paroled” into the United States that their legal status has been revoked. 

The New York Post reports that the Trump administration sent out emails to this effect over the past week.

What’s more is that Trump is calling upon these individuals to essentially deport themselves from the country.

Biden-era parole reversed

During his administration, when he was getting hammered for his open border polices, Biden and his people came up with a “humanitarian parole” program, which, according to the Post, “granted foreign nationals from the four countries U.S. work permits and deportation protection for up to two years.”

As a result, about 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela were allowed to enter the United States.

Republicans and Trump saw this as little more than a loophole for illegal immigrants, and, upon taking office, Trump quickly moved to undo Biden’s program.

In March 2025, Trump signed an executive order revoking the legal status of these 530,000 individuals. The move was quickly challenged in the courts, and, in the end, the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court gave Trump the go-ahead to move forward with this order.

This is exactly what Trump is now doing.

What happens next?

Now, the Trump administration has notified these 530,000 individuals that their legal status has been revoked, and he has asked them to leave the country.

The Post reports:

In its press release, DHS encouraged migrants to self-deport using the Trump administration’s CBP Home Mobile App, noting that if they choose to go that route, they’ll receive travel assistance and a $1,000 exit bonus upon arrival in their home country.

It does not appear as though Trump released a statement directly related to this. But he has just released multiple statements slamming the Biden administration for allowing so many illegal immigrants to enter the country.

In one such message, the president wrote:

The Biden Administration and Governor Newscum flooded America with 21 Million Illegal Aliens, destroying Schools, Hospitals and Communities, and consuming untold Billions of Dollars in Free Welfare. All of them have to go home, as do countless other Illegals and Criminals, who will turn us into a bankrupt Third World Nation. America was invaded and occupied. I am reversing the Invasion. It’s called Remigration. Our courageous ICE Officers, who are daily being subjected to doxxing and murder threats, are HEROES. We will always have their back as they carry out this noble mission. America will be for Americans again!

Trump and his team are already making significant progress toward this goal.
