Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE:DAL). and United Airlines Holdings (NASDAQ:UAL) Inc. have suspended flights to Tel Aviv after Israel bombed Iran and closed its airspace.
Delta Air Lines has canceled flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Tel Aviv through August 31, according to a statement released by the Atlanta-based airline on Friday. The carrier said it will continue to monitor “the evolving security environment in the area.”
For passengers affected by these cancellations, Delta has issued a travel waiver that provides rebooking options for those with Tel Aviv reservations from June 12 through August 31.
United Airlines also suspended its Tel Aviv service but did not specify when flights between its Newark Liberty International Airport hub in New Jersey and Israel might resume. The airline canceled one outbound flight from Newark on Thursday, while another flight that was already in the air returned to New Jersey.
