The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday confirmed that it has recovered the bodies of two more hostages held by Hamas, the same day the terrorist organization allegedly attacked a Gaza aid group, killing at least five people.
The U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced the attack and fatalities in a statement reported by the Jewish News Syndicate, claiming that others were injured and staff were concerned that some of its team had been taken hostage.
The attack occurred when some of the local Palestinians who were volunteering with the aid organization were on their way to a distribution center west of Khan Younis.
“We condemn this heinous and deliberate attack in the strongest possible terms,” the foundation said. “These were aid workers. Humanitarians. Fathers, brothers, sons and friends, who were risking their lives every day to help others. Our hearts are broken and our thoughts and prayers are with every victim, every family and every person still unaccounted for.”
