The aircraft went down in a residential area, igniting a massive fire. Authorities say the lone survivor, identified as 40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, was seated in 11A and is now hospitalized with serious injuries.
Investigators are looking into possible mechanical failure involving the flaps and landing gear. Multiple countries, including the U.S. and U.K., have joined India in the investigation.
