Is this still what you voted for? Yes? That’s what I thought.
There’s no sign of the riots slowing down in Los Angeles, and the mostly peaceful—but still “fiery”—protests have popped up across the country. And America’s least favorite governor is now begging rioters to use their non-existent right to loot by being “mostly peaceful.” And in the same breath, he’s decided to blame Trump for the millionth time—while also throwing out a disingenuous take on federal immigration law that makes little sense to anyone who actually understands it.
LOL. Nice crocodile tears, Governor.
So, it turns out that begging rioters to “exercise your First Amendment rights” does not magically make that happen, as the mostly peaceful riots where anything but peaceful last night.
Just because people are upset, that does not make their mostly peaceful, but fiery actions right.
Is this really how you show your compassion for those who have broken federal immigration law?
It’s probably safe to assume these looters missed the Governors plea to exercise their rights peacefully, as their actions prove otherwise. Nonetheless, if this is how the point is made to make sure no human is illegal , I don’t think it gets across in the way they hope.
Newsom also claimed that Trump’s efforts to keep the city safe is only making this situation worse, and nothing but a “brazen abuse of power.”
There would be no need for troops had local and state officials done the bare minimum of their job but they can’t do that because that would be politically incorrect. Nonetheless, Newsom has done nothing but put fuel to the fire and the fact that he blames Trump, while refusing to end the lawlessness tells you all you need to know. These people are so beholden to a deranged ideology that they would rather sit back and watch their state burn then promote any form of public safety. And the fact they believe this makes them the compassionate one’s is comical, yet deeply pathetic.
