Rather than focus on educating the students of Ohio, the education chair of the Cleveland, Ohio, NAACP has decided that a better use of her time is to create fake awards to give to school board members who actively oppose the Trump Administration.
And to claim our education system has been hijacked by radical leftists would be an understatement.
According to Ohio.News:
During a Tuesday Teach Truth Day of Action Briefing, the education chair of the Cleveland, Ohio, NAACP said the group is honoring school board members who defy the Trump administration. The Zinn Education Project hosted the “Day of Action” event.
The group touted that the briefing was intended to “draw attention to the chilling effects the restrictive laws introduced or passed that restrict, ban, or censor what educators can teach and what their students can learn about history, LGBTQ+ rights, race, and gender, among other topics.”
Calling that “chilling” is a pathetic attempt to make it seem like what she’s saying actually matters, when it clearly doesn’t. Not only has she shown that her main goal is to indoctrinate students on these topics, but it’s even more pathetic that she’s not focused on something useful, like math or English.
But consider that math is not only racist, but two plus two equals five, this is likely the best she can do.
Meryl Johnson, chair of the NAACP Cleveland Branch’s education committee, said Tuesday that the group is giving awards to Ohio school board members who have defied President Trump’s executive orders eliminating DEI policies.
“Especially in Ohio, we have school board members who understand what their job is, and that’s to put students first,” Johnson said during the event, according to a video obtained by Ohio.news. “And so, some school board members in Ohio have defied … what I call an immoral suggestion from the president to sign anti-DEI, anti-Diversity, Equity and Inclusion directives.
It’s not an “immoral suggestion”—and the only one acting immorally here is her.
She has a problem with the fact that the President said schools should prioritize all students, regardless of skin color. But the truth is, diversity and equity initiatives aren’t just discriminatory—they actually leave some students behind for something they have no control over: the color of their skin.
To call that immoral would be an understatement.
And what makes her rant even more pathetic is that she’s saying all of this in front of an MLK Jr. poster—while pushing ideas he would’ve never supported.
Whatever happened to being judged by the content of one’s character, and not their skin? Did she forget that that was his sole mission?
“And so at our Teach Truth Day of Action, … we are going to be giving what we call Guardians of Justice Awards to school board members who stood up and said, ‘No, we’re not signing that,’ who believe that their students are the most important thing and that they are going to look out for their students because that’s their job,” Johnson said.
LOL. Calling this award “Guardians of Justice” is so cringe it should be illegal. But honestly, this should also be grounds for her termination—she’s made it clear her goal is to prioritize kids based on skin color, and that’s never going to be morally right.
