President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth directed National Guard troops to the area on Sunday despite Gov. Gavin Newsom’s objections.
The Democrat governor called the move a “serious breach of state sovereignty,” adding that “We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved.”
