California officials have been told to prepare for 30 days of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities in the Los Angeles area, according to a congresswoman whose district was pummeled by riots over the weekend.
Rep. Nanette Barragán (D-Calif.) argued that President Trump’s move to dispatch 2,000 National Guard members to Los Angeles to contain the riots and restore order could inflame tensions {snip}
“We’ve been told to get ready for … 30 days of ICE enforcement. {snip} I mean, it’s going to escalate the situation,” Barragán told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday.
