Media claims it’s a catastrophe that illegals are being deported from Martha’s Vineyard, thinks we forgot two years ago

Do you remember two years ago when Ron DeSantis sent fifty illegals to Martha’s Vineyard, and it was painted as a humanitarian crisis by the media? That these fifty unauthorized democrats were a strain on the infrastructure of one of the wealthiest (and most liberal) places in America? That was then. Now the left is virtue signalling in the other direction, and Trump deporting Martha’s illegals is considered a bad thing.

It never ceases to amaze me just how stupid the media thinks the general public is. And their belief that none of us has memories. Or an internet. Or functioning eyeballs.

To take a trip back, in 2022, DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott started helping people seeking asylum find asylum in liberal cities where people boasted “no human being is illegal” and bragged about being sanctuary cities for these imported future Democrats. As it turns out, open-minded and tolerant leftists? They were only ok with illegal immigration when it was the problem of small border towns around the southern border.

Martha’s Vineyard? All of these upper-class, white liberals with multiple homes. And they couldn’t find space for fifty migrants.

Of course, if you asked off camera, “…they don’t want the migrants here, but they don’t want to speak on-camera, either because they don’t want to be depicted as inhumane.“

That was then. Now that Donald Trump has been reelected to deport illegals and is deporting illegals, we’re back to virtue signaling how they are the backbone of Martha’s economy. Two years ago, they couldn’t hand fifty more people. Now they don’t know how they’re gonna live without them

It’s just… it’s the perfect post. The entire Democrat and media (but I repeat myself) attack against common sense immigration reform and everything they knew they were going to do with isolating individual sob stories is encapsulated in thirty-three simple words. High marks all around.

Mayhaps it is the Washington Post that is dumb enough to not remember two years ago.
