In a milestone for Catholic evangelization in the digital age, Bishop Robert Barron’s YouTube channel for Word on Fire officially surpassed two million subscribers this week.
The platform has grown into a hub for theological insight, cultural commentary, and accessible catechesis.
“Friends, social media has been and will continue to be a very important evangelical tool,” he said June 3 on X.
Known for his intellectual clarity and pastoral warmth, Bishop Barron has long championed the use of media to bring Christ into the modern world.
“It has been a great privilege to proclaim the Gospel on YouTube for nearly two decades,” he added. “My sincere thanks to everyone who has tuned in for a Sunday Sermon, movie review, Word on Fire Show, Bishop Barron Presents, and more!”
