The Trump White House’s official “Rapid Response” account accused a Democratic mayor on Monday of “jeopardizing officers’ safety” by warning “criminal illegals” of ICE operations.
The post shared a clip from CBS News Pittsburgh that included an interview with Mayor Dontae Comans. “Wilkinsburg Mayor Dante Coman’s posted about it on his Facebook page,” began local CBS affiliate KDKA’s Mamie Bah in the clip, referring to Coman’s warning about ICE operations in his area.

Comans’s Facebook post read, “URGENT COMMUNITY ALERT: ICE Activity Reported in Wilkinsburg Area. We have confirmed reports that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents are active in our community. Specifically, they’ve been seen around Penn Avenue and Wood Street in Wilkinsburg.” He went on to describe the vehicle that ICE was allegedly operating out of.
