While California Gov. Gavin Newsom would love it if you were to believe he’s just another moderate stuck in progressive California, actions speak louder than words. So, while he may or may not be getting ready for his presidential campaign, he seemed to forget to protect the integrity of women’s sports.
California allowed a male athlete to compete against girls at the state CIF championships. As a result, he took awards from female athletes who rightfully earned them. Governor Newsom, however, has yet to condemn the situation, despite recently claiming to care about this very issue.
According to The Post Millennial:
President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened California with large fines over the state’s refusal to protect women’s sports, in violation of his executive order restoring the meaning of Title IX. The state has continued to all males who identify as transgender to play in women’s sports.
Trans-identified male athelete AB Hernandez finished first place in the state’s track and field championships over the weekend. At the meet, there were many protesters who were stating their position that boys should not play in girls’ sports. The state had attempted to comply with Trump’s order by making an extra place a the podium for girls who would have placed had they not been bested by males. This did not sit well with Trump, or with many spectators.
Trump posted to Truth Social, “A Biological Male competed in California Girls State Finals, WINNING BIG, despite the fact that they were warned by me not to do so. As Governor Gavin Newscum fully understands, large scale fines will be imposed!!!”
If sex and gender are supposed to be two different things, why does the left keep treating them like they’re the same? It’s something they can’t seem to grasp—yet they continue to undermine women’s sports in pursuit of that contradiction. Pathetic, just pathetic.
Trump threatened to pull funding from the state, however, if it does not bar men from playing in women’s sports completely.
The fact that the left claims to support women’s rights while actively working against them says everything you need to know about their agenda. And this is exactly why the saying goes, “The only standards the left has are double standards.”
America voted to make gender matter again. And like it or not, officials in California might want to accept that before it starts costing them big fines.
