Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is denying claims from a leftist media outlet that he proudly displayed the carcass of a barbecued dog.
Kennedy is trying to gain traction in the aftermath of President Joe Biden’s nationally televised CNN debate implosion but he may find it difficult with stories like the one published by Vanity Fair which not only smears him as a conspiracy theorist but also resurfaced the macabre 2010 pic that RFK Jr. recently texted to a friend.
In the image, a beaming Kennedy displays the animal carcass and jokes with the friend who was traveling in Asia that he might enjoy the fare at a Korean restaurant that had dog on the menu, according to Vanity Fair which cited the analysis of a “veterinarian” who said “the carcass is a canine, pointing to the 13 pairs of ribs, which include the tell-tale ‘floating rib’ found in dogs.”
The candidate denied the outlet’s reporting that he brandished a cooked version of man’s best friend, saying that the BBQ’d critter was actually that of a goat.
Hey @VanityFair, you know when your veterinary experts call a goat a dog, and your forensic experts say a photo taken in Patagonia was taken in Korea, that you’ve joined the ranks of supermarket tabloids. Keep telling America that up is down if you want. I’ll keep talking about… pic.twitter.com/SGX3QpoaRZ

“Hey @VanityFair, you know when your veterinary experts call a goat a dog, and your forensic experts say a photo taken in Patagonia was taken in Korea, that you’ve joined the ranks of supermarket tabloids,” RFK Jr. wrote on X, sharing the picture.
“Keep telling America that up is down if you want. I’ll keep talking about the fact that working families can’t afford houses or groceries because our last two presidents went on a $14 trillion debt joyride, paid for by hard-working Americans,” he added. “The DNC media’s garbage pail journalism may distract us from President Biden’s cognitive deficits but it does little to elevate the national debate or reduce the price of groceries.”
In addition to his reaction to the lengthy Vanity Fair hit piece and its sensationalist barbecued dog claim, RFK Jr. critiqued Biden’s “alarming” debate performance during a Tuesday Fox News appearance.

“This is the man who’s going to be possibly woken up at 3:00 a.m. in the morning and have to make a decision within six minutes of waking up about whether to retaliate, whether to send a missile barrage onto the Russians,” Kennedy told “The Story” host Martha MacCallum.
In another interview, this one with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Kennedy addressed the Vanity Fair hit piece and others that have targeted him, an outsider who has made powerful interests uncomfortable.

“I am a very adventurous eater, Chris. I think you know that about me. I’ll eat virtually anything,” he said. “There’s two things I wouldn’t eat. Well, three. I wouldn’t eat a human. I wouldn’t eat a monkey and I wouldn’t eat a dog. I think I’d eat anything else, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do those things. It was a goat, and you are what you eat,” RFK Jr. told Cuomo.
“There’s never been a candidate in American history who has challenged, for example, the intelligence agencies or the CIA in the way that I have,” he added. “I’m challenging them, the military industrial complex, the big contractors, the big financial houses who I call out by name BlackRock. I’m Blackstone, State Street, Vanguard, Fidelity, the people who fund the Democratic Party, who fund the Republican Party. I’m calling out the pharmaceutical companies, the chemical companies, the big food processors, big ag, trillions of dollars that are at stake now and people who do not want me in the White House.”
