Left-wing media and pundits fantasized about Biden assassinating Trump and Supreme Court justices as an “official act” following the SCOTUS’ decision on presidential immunity.
“Libs are in full meltdown mode, some openly calling for the assassination of President Trump,” Charlie Kirk wrote on X.
“Totally normal, stable people who should control the education of your kids, your businesses, the border, and two foreign wars.”
The Monday decision ruled that presidents have immunity from prosecution for official acts taken while in office, Resist the Mainstream reported.
Chief Justice John Roberts stated in the majority opinion that determining which acts in the indictment are considered official is “best left to the lower courts.”
Several pundits accused SCOTUS of siding with Trump, while others suggested allowing Biden to assassinate Trump.
Attorney Bradley P. Moss, for example, said, “The Supreme Court just gave Biden unequivocal immunity to order the military to take action against Trump.”
“Today. Right now,” he added.
In a subsequent post Moss targeted Steve Bannon: “According to the Supreme Court, President Biden can have the military execute Bannon in the prison showers tonight and be immune from prosecution.”
Left-wing personality Harry Sisson posted, “According to the Supreme Court, Biden could now send in Seal Team 6 to take all of them out. He could send in the military to take out Trump.”
“He has ‘immunity’ for official acts now!”
Sisson then doubled down on his post following backlash from conservatives. “All of these MAGA lunatics are saying that this is suggesting violence when the first 5 words are ‘according to the Supreme Court,’” he argued.
He then pointed to Justice Sonia Sotomayor referencing Navy’s Seal team 6 in her dissent; a section highlighted by other critics of SCOTUS’ ruling as a means to justify their “take down Trump” remarks.
Another user, for instance, wrote, “genuinely shocking that a Court justice is now on record that the Court has sanctioned that a president can order Seal Team Six to assassinate his political opponent.”
One left-wing personality and avid Biden supporter echoed a similar sentiment to Sisson by writing, “I strongly encourage Joe Biden to take advantage of his absolute immunity… to do whatever ‘official acts’ he needs to do in order to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President.”
Some users called on Biden to “drone strike” Trump and the justices.
Journalist Aaron Rupar questioned the ruling by asking, “So if Joe Biden declared today that November’s election is canceled and ordered the military to keep him in power, would that be an ‘official act?’”
He continued in another post, posing the question: “[I]f President Biden declared today’s Supreme Court ruling to be an assault on democracy and ordered Chief Justice John Roberts imprisoned indefinitely, would that be an ‘official act?’”
Chief Justice John Roberts penned the following for the majority in the 6-3 ruling Monday:
“The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official.”
“The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution.”
“The President therefore may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled, at a minimum, to a presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts.”
“That immunity applies equally to all occupants of the Oval Office, regardless of politics, policy, or party,” he continued.
