(Liberty Bell) – The Washington Post’s Kathleen Parker, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, recently stated that she might have an answer to the worries and concerns of voters across the country about Joe Biden’s age and fitness to serve as the president. And to say her idea is absolutely horrid is a massive understatement.
Parker believes that the best chance Biden has of winning the 2024 election is to forgo Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate and put twice failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on the ticket with him.
Randy DeSoto, contributor for The Western Journal, writes in an article, “She argued in a piece earlier his month, before Thursday evening’s ‘Biden Horror Pictures Show,’ that the prospect of Vice President Kamala Harris having to step up to complete a Biden second term is actually a drag on the Democratic ticket going into November’s election.”
“A Politico/Morning Consult poll conducted in late May found just 40 percent believed she would make a good president, while 51 percent thought she would not,” DeSoto wrote. “The FiveThirtyEight average of polls shows Harris’ approval rating underwater, with approximately 49 percent disapproving and 39 percent approving.”
Honestly, that’s not much of an improvement over Biden’s 56 percent disapproval rating from before the first presidential debate.
“Biden, 81, is already the oldest to ever serve as president, with Ronald Reagan previously holding the record at 77 when he left office in January 1989. An ABC News/Ipsos poll released in February found that 86 percent of Americans think Biden is too old to serve a second term,” DeSoto added.
“The problem isn’t his numerical age,” Parker declared. “People age in different ways. In some cases, people hardly age at all, they’re so physically fit and mentally astute. But even the most robust 80-year-old would be challenged to keep pace with the White House job. Far younger presidents have turned gray in the Oval Office.”
“Biden’s steady decline the past few years — his stumbles, his search for words, his occasional blank stare — has been impossible to ignore. Such change isn’t a reflection of character; it’s part of the natural order of life, and it isn’t ageist to take note,” she penned.
Parker goes on to say that the answer to ensuring victory over former President Donald Trump is to put the 76-year-old Clinton on the ticket with Biden and, if they win, install Harris as the attorney general.
Guys, I don’t think it needs to be said, but I’ll say it anyway.
This is an absolutely horrific idea and anyone who has had this thought cross their mind and entertained it seriously, ought to undergo a cognitive test immediately.
Clinton is despised and not trusted among her own party, not just by Republicans. If you want to win an election, you put someone on the ticket that voters respect and trust. Therefore, this isn’t the proper solution. Not at all. I can’t believe Parker had the intestinal fortitude to even suggest this.
“Parker contended adding Clinton to the Democrat ticket would reassure persuadable voters who are concerned about Biden’s fitness that the former secretary of state would be there to steady or replace him, if necessary,” DeSoto explained in the article.
The journalist did concede, however, that at this point in Clinton’s life she “might want no part of it, but it’s hard to retire when you feel your job isn’t done. If Biden needs to step down, even those who didn’t vote for Clinton would have confidence in her ability to keep the country on track. It’s just a thought, but worse ideas have met with regrettable success.”
Oh, I’m sure she would absolutely jump at the opportunity of vice president and being just one step away from becoming the first female president. Think about it. Biden is in his 80s and not in good health. If he wins a second term, whoever is vice president has a high probability of actually sitting in the Oval Office.
“Clinton does appear to be raising her profile, perhaps to be available if Biden should falter or Democrats decide to replace him at their convention in August. Earlier this month, she endorsed Westchester County Executive George Latimer in his successful bid to defeat ‘squad’ member Rep. Jamaal Bowman in Tuesday’s Democratic primary for the 16th congressional district seat in New York,” The Western Journal noted.
With Trump on the ballot, we need strong, principled Democrats in Congress more than ever.
In Congress, @LatimerforNY will protect abortion rights, stand up to the NRA, and fight for President Biden’s agenda—just like he’s always done.
Make a plan to vote by June 25th!

With all of the possibilities Democrats have to explore regarding Biden and his campaign, let’s hope this isn’t one they are taking seriously.
