Two people were shot dead inside a Texas Chick-fil-A restaurant Wednesday afternoon in what police say was a targeted killing.
Dozens of police units responded at about 4 p.m. to the fast food restaurant in Irving, where the two people were pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.
Irving Police Officer Anthony Alexander confirmed to KXAS that the shooting took place inside the restaurant. He said information gathered so far indicated the shooting was targeted.
The suspect fled the scene after the shooting, and police identified him as 37-year-old Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, Irving Police said.
He was driving a silver 1997 Honda four-door sedan with Texas plate number GVH-6205.
The names of the victims have not been released.
