Who is going to be Donald Trump’s VP?
That is the question that we all want answered, but we are not getting it yet.
However, based on a hint that Trump gave this week, we do know the field will be narrowed considerably.
And the Pick Is In
Trump has confirmed that his pick has been made, but he does not intend to divulge who that individual is.
However, if you want to know the true shortlist, Trump hinted that we should tune into the debate on Thursday night.
When Trump was asked if his VP pick had been made, he confirmed that he had, but he has not shared that pick with anyone just yet, not even with the future VP.
But when asked if the pick would be at the debate, he announced, “They’ll be there.
“I think we have a lot of people coming.”
After Trump made that announcement, speculation ran wild. The first reports surfaced that Ramaswamy was Trump’s pick, but I don’t believe them.
Trump himself had discounted Ramaswamy, so this just does not seem to fit.
The Hill also ran a report speculating, but I hope they are wrong on their finalists list, which did not include Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) (nor Ramaswamy, for that matter).
I know most people do not believe the vice president is a big influencer, but I believe this election is different. I just don’t see anyone bringing to the table what Tim Scott brings to the table for Trump, especially in terms of helping to win over minority voters.
We have about two weeks before the national convention hits and Trump formally makes his pick, so I am hoping I am right on this.
If I am, I think it will put Trump over the finish line, assuming he has a big debate night on Thursday.
