A suspect reportedly killed himself on Tuesday, a day after five people were found fatally shot at two apartments.
North Las Vegas police said two women — one in her 40s and the other in her 50s — were found dead at an apartment on Monday night. A 13-year-old girl who was found wounded at the scene was transported to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Investigators were searching a nearby apartment after the initial incident and found two men and one woman fatally shot. The three victims were reportedly in their 20s.
Authorities eventually identified Eric Adams, 57, as the suspect in the shootings. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that investigators found Adams with a firearm after they received a tip about him being at a local business.
Adams allegedly fled to the backyard of a nearby residence, where he fatally shot himself amid a standoff with police.
A motive in Monday’s shootings remains undisclosed. Authorities have not revealed Adams’ relationship to the victims.
