Pro-Life Americans across the country are celebrating the Dobbs anniversary today. They’re thankful the Supreme Court overturned the decision that has resulted in more than 65 million babies losing their lives to abortion.
Fortunately, pro-life laws in multiple states are saving babies from abortions. In fact one pro-life leader tells LifeNews that current pro-life laws are protecting as many as 200,000 babies from abortions annually.
“Since the landmark Dobbs decision two years ago, which marked a significant turning point for the pro-life movement, an estimated 200,902 lives are protected annually thanks to pro-life laws in 24 states following the overturning of Roe v. Wade,” says SBA Pro-Life president Marjorie Dannenfelser.
However, Dannenfelser says pro-life Americans have more battles to fight than ever before.

“But despite these pro-life victories, we face a critical juncture right now. The outcome of the election in November could jeopardize everything as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are actively campaigning to abolish the filibuster, dismantle state laws supporting pro-life initiatives, eliminate pregnancy resource centers, and overturn the Dobbs ruling altogether,” she explains.
“Today’s anniversary of the Dobbs decision could potentially be the last of its kind,” she warned.
“It’s crucial that we act now to ensure that the recent gains are not reversed,” she said about multiple state ballot measures for abortions up to birth. “We cannot afford complacency. We must continue to organize, march, and vote to give life a fighting chance.”
Another pro-life leader also warns that pro-life Americans mjust do everything possible to stop these pro-abortion ballot measure.
“Roe v. Wade imposed abortion on Americans, even those who were opposed to it,” Priests for Life National Director Frank Pavone said today, the two-year anniversary of the historic U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision.
“By inventing a Constitutional right to abortion’ that had never before been acknowledged in American history, the Court placed itself between American citizens and the unborn children they wanted to protect.
“In Dobbs, the Court corrected that egregious error and got out of the way of the will of the American people and their lawmakers. Since then, about half the states have increased protections for the unborn – protections that have been upheld in Court rather than struck down,” he said. “Now abortion supporters want to again block the ability of people to protect the unborn by inserting into state constitutions a ‘right to abortion’ previously unheard of in the history of any state. This is because they don’t want to engage in the public debate and careful policy analysis demanded by the legislative process.”
