US Attorney General Merrick Garland just had his WORST NIGHTMARE come true.
It was not long ago that Attorney General Garland was called out for refusing to turn over the recordings from President Joe Biden’s investigation.
Not long after, the Department of Justice (DOJ), told the House Speaker, Mike Johnson, that they would NOT hold Garland accountable for his actions.
“The department has determined that the responses by Attorney General Garland to the subpoenas issued by the committees did not constitute a crime, and accordingly the department will not bring the congressional contempt citation before a grand jury or take any other action to prosecute the Attorney General,” the DOJ said in their letter to Johnson.
Now, though, after it seemed to many that Garland was nearly out of the woods, he was hit with another bomb.
U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, the judge on former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case, absolutely lit special counsel Jack Smith’s team of prosecutors up.
Cannon wanted answers to questions Smith’s team NEVER saw coming.
How closely did Garland oversee Smith’s work?
What did Smith’s deputy James Pearce have to say?
He claimed he was “not authorized” to answer her question.
“I don’t want to make it seem like I’m hiding something,” Pearce continued.
The only people who say bizarre statements like they don’t want to seem like they are “hiding something” are people with something to hide!
Politico news reported that Cannon asking this question may have been her way of “trying to determine how much independent authority Smith has in practice.”
Considering the fact that Garland previously said he had “no coordination” with Smith, the opposite being confirmed would spell disaster not only for Garland but possibly Smith as well!
If Smith’s team is hiding ANYTHING to do with Garland, Trump’s attorneys will find out.
