Louisiana has become the first state to require the display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms, a move that has infuriated the godless left which has vowed a holy war to overturn the law.
On Wednesday, the Bayou State’s Republican Governor Jeff Landry signed legislation requiring that God’s laws be displayed on a “poster or framed document that is at least eleven inches by fourteen inches” and “printed in a large easily readable font.”
“If you want to respect the rule of law, you’ve got to start from the original lawgiver, which was Moses” Landry said at the bill’s signing ceremony.

“I’m going home to sign a bill that places the Ten Commandments in public classrooms,” Gov. Landry reportedly said at a Saturday fundraiser. “And I can’t wait to be sued.”
Leftists were apoplectic and vowed a biblical plague of the lawsuits that are used to overturn the will of voters and laws that run counter to their anti-religion, anti-American agenda.
Once a venerable civil liberties organization that now serves as just another arm of the Democratic party octopus, the ACLU took Landry up on his challenge by announcing that they are suing.
“We’re suing Louisiana for requiring all public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom,” the radical left-wing organization said in a post to X. “Public schools are not Sunday schools.”

The ACLU’s state chapter also vowed to sue with some added Louisiana spice, “We’ll see y’all in court.”

One Louisianan of note – who has never been accused of having godly morals – slammed the new law during a Wednesday appearance on CNN.
“One of the dumbest wastes of time I’ve ever seen in my life,” Democrat political strategist James Carville told Anderson Cooper.

Landry’s fellow governor, Gavin Newsom of California slammed the Louisiana law, as if he doesn’t have enough problems in his own state that deserve attention.

“Unlike Gavin’s liberal hug-a-thug policies, we held a crime special session in just my first two months in office. And, maybe Gavin is unaware that the Lord says thou shall not kill, steal, or rape! By the way, the only reason California is not the worst is they quit reporting,” Gov. Landry shot back.

“We are preparing a lawsuit to challenge H.B. 71. The law violates the separation of church and state and is blatantly unconstitutional. The First Amendment promises that we all get to decide for ourselves what religious beliefs, if any, to hold and practice, without pressure from the government. Politicians have no business imposing their preferred religious doctrine on students and families in public schools,” said the group Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
