During a brief visit by Vladimir Putin to North Korea, the Russian autocrat and dictator Kim Jong-Un exchanged a variety of gifts including a brand new limousine and two tiger-hunting dogs.
Knewz.com has learned that the exchanges were not the first and United States and South Korean officials fear they may not be the last—the next gifting ceremony may be of a nuclear.
Photos of the duo depict them driving upfront in a black Russian-built Aurus limousine on Wednesday, June 19.
Putin can be seen at the wheel with Kim in the passenger seat as they maneuvered through a well-kept park-like location before they stopped and swapped seats, per The Telegraph.
The North Korean leader reciprocated the gesture by giving Putin two Pungsan tiger-hunting dogs.
The video of Putin’s interaction with the two animals shows them tied to a picket fence with red and blue leashes.

Putin reaches out to pet the red-leashed animal and retreats when it tries to lick his hand. He then reaches out to the dog with the blue leash which appears unimpressed by its new owner and barks at him.
According to Russia’s state media outlet, TASS, Putin also parted with two other items: an admiral’s dagger and a very beautiful tea set,” according to Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov.
In return, according to Ushakov, the Russian president received “very good presents” in the form of various pieces of art from Kim.

This is not the first exchange between the two authoritarian figures. In February 2024, Putin sent the first Aurus to Korea, and even though it was merely a sedan the vehicle was favored by Putin himself, according to the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
A report by BBC News indicates the vehicles will be added to the dictator’s already brimming automobile collection which includes a Maybach limousine and several models of Mercedes Benz, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and a Lexus.
U.S. officials are on edge as they fear the gifting will not end here. They are under the impression that the next items to be exchanged will menace North Korea’s neighbors.
In a May report, NBC News cited concerns in the U.S. administration that Russia may start sharing nuclear technologies for submarines and ballistic missiles with the Kim regime.
One unnamed high-ranking military source told the outlet “The higher-end Russia technical assistance comes in forms that are very difficult indeed to monitor.”

According to the Arms Control Association (ACA), the pariah state currently has 30 nuclear weapons as (unlike Russia) it only started its development program in the 1970s, per the Center for Korean Legal Studies.
On the other hand, Russia started in 1943 and executed its first test in 1949, per the Museum of Nuclear Science and History.
According to an estimate by ACA, the country currently has an inventory of 4,380 nuclear warheads and an additional 1,200 awaiting retirement.
