A new poll released Monday from the highly respected Des Moines Register shows President Trump leading Joe Biden by 18 points in Iowa. Polls from another midwestern state, Ohio, also show that Trump comfortably leads Biden. Not long ago, Ohio and Iowa were considered ” key battleground states,” with Obama winning both states in 2008 and 2012. However, President Trump’s America First Tariffs and commitment to end forever wars are the driving factors that have turned the farming and industrial states of Ohio and Iowa red. Ohio and Iowa being solid Republican puts Democrats behind the eight ball as Trump will start with a 251-226 Electoral College advantage before swing state results come in. This Electoral College advantage Trump has created is one of the driving factors behind the Left’s election interference, as Democrats understand Trump’s ability to rewrite the electoral map puts Republicans at a great advantage to win presidential elections.
President Trump leads Joe Biden by 50%—32% in a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll. Even more impressive for Trump is that 67% of Iowans polled have their “minds made up,” meaning Trump’s Iowa support is deeply entrenched. The same poll also shows that only 28% of Iowans approve of Joe Biden’s job performance.
Biden’s Iowa numbers are shocking, considering that in 2008, Obama won the state by 53%- 44% and 52%- 46% in 2012. Under Trump’s leadership, Republicans have gained 30 points in Iowa in under 20 years. In politics, this type of gain is light speed.
Ohio, another midwestern state with a farming and industrial-based economy, has also swung to the right under President Trump’s GOP leadership. Obama won Ohio by 51%-46% in 2008 and 50%-47% in 2012. Most current Ohio polls show that President Trump is beating Biden by 10 points, meaning that Ohio has swung 15 points to the right.
So why have Ohio’s and Iowa’s political landscapes drastically changed? The answer is actually quite simple. The people of Ohio and Iowa are hard workers, usually specializing in industrial or farming industries. Ohioans and Iowans became fed up with earning less money due to no fault of their own because Democrats embraced globalist policies that killed America’s farming and industry. Instead of presenting solutions to the problem, Democrats have embraced calling the people of the Midwest “racist” if they complain about the Left’s policies.
President Trump, on the other hand, has presented Ohioans and Iowans with actual policy solutions to get their state’s economies going again. Trump once tweeted, “….I am a Tariff Man. When people or countries come in to raid the great wealth of our Nation, I want them to pay for the privilege of doing so. It will always be the best way to max out our economic power. We are right now taking in $billions in Tariffs. MAKE AMERICA RICH AGAIN.”
Iowa and Ohio’s embracement of MAGA has put the Left behind the eight ball in the electoral college. President Trump will start election night with a 251-226 advantage over Biden. However, if Ohio and Iowa were still “swing states,” Trump would only have a 228-226 advantage. Trump’s massive electoral math advantage perfectly explains the Left’s reasoning behind their election interference scams. Democrats understand it’s mathematically impossible for them to win without cheating.
President Trump and his America First policies have rewritten the Electoral College, and for that, Republicans should be very grateful.
